Zero Tolerance

We, at Kids Club, are committed to character-building in every child. Therefore, we adopt a policy of Zero Tolerance toward anything that would come in the way of this commitment, and in this connection, we make the following Do's and Don'ts mandatory.

Video Games

Experience has taught the world that video games are among the most detrimental fallouts of technological development; addiction, depression, betting, pornography, suicide, etc. are just a few of those dreadful consequences. We insist that parents make sure that their children do not get the chance to play video games at home. It is needless to say, they cannot play such games in school.

Betting / Gambling

Betting or gambling seems to be part of some video games and other online activities. Betting or gambling is not only illegal but also forbidden, as a matter of Kids Club's policy. Parents are advised not to give large amounts of "pocket money" to their children, and in addition, to keep a close tab on their children's spending habits, and their savings too. Children shall not bring cash to school, unless when instructed. Further, they shall not bring valuables or wear expensive jewellery to school.

Electronic Gadgets

Students shall not bring mobile phones or other electronic gadgets to school. Any such gadget brought to school shall be confiscated forthwith. Further, we strongly recommend that children do not get access to laptops, desktops, mobile phones, tablets, etc. even at home in the absence of their parents, and that parents monitor their children's activities with those gadgets, when access becomes necessary.

Bullying

Bullying is forbidden on Kids Club's campuses of which library, playground, restrooms, etc. are a part. Even school vans / busses are treated as "mobile" regions of the campus. Strict disciplinary action shall befall violators.

Drug Abuse

Youth are ever under increasing threat of falling prey to drug abuse. Diverse may be the sources of temptation, but the results are always the same – far too painful to bear. The aforesaid restrictions on "pocket money" are also aimed at helping Kids Club's children to remain protected from such temptations. Any child indulging in, or even abetting drug abuse shall be expelled from school.

Medical Attention

Medication provided by the family must be sent with the prescription label, including the name of the pupil, date of prescription, time, and dosage to be given. Unfortunately, any injuries caused to students at school should be reported to the teacher in charge and to the school office.

Social Networking

Social Networking could be a useful tool if used properly. However, there have been a number cases, as reported in the media, wherein even "proper" users are being hoodwinked by fraudsters to whom children and youth are the most vulnerable targets. Therefore, we prohibit Kids Club's children from having accounts on social networking sites FB, Twitter, Instagram, and the like.

Habits & Routines

Personal habits and routines play a vital role in the rounded development of a child. The efforts we make in school, in this regard, will be incomplete without active participation and cooperation from parents. Therefore, parents shall closely monitor such things as the wake-up time, sleep time, TV time, play time, etc, of their children, and set them right whenever they go wrong. Any student found to be in defiance of one or more of the Do's and Don'ts above, either directly or indirectly, shall become liable for disciplinary action as deemed fit by Kids Club's management, which could lead up to expulsion from school.

Clothing / Appearance / Self-Worth

Clothing and appearance can not only create an "impression" in others, but also influence the minds of the wearers themselves, leading to assessments of self-worth. Thus, inappropriate or objectionable clothing or appearance can lead to wayward understanding of self, which can in turn open a can of worms. Therefore, boys shall have regular haircuts, of a formal style, and shall remain clean-shaven; that is, they shall not sport facial hair. Both boys and girls shall not sport tattoos. Girls shall not wear revealing clothes or tights. Girls shall not wear earrings / studs at multiple places on their ears; however, they are permitted to wear a single pair of earrings, in line with the tradition / custom. Both boys and girls shall always remain presentable on campus. Further, both boys and girls shall remain in their respective uniform clothes, meant for the day/occasion (regular uniform or sports uniform), unless there is a relaxation announced for any given occasion. Even religious reasons to be in clothes other than uniform are not normally entertained.

Ethical Espionage

If students come to know of any of their friends violating one or more of the above, it shall be their moral duty to bring the matter to the notice of their teachers, without delay. Students found to be in knowledge of, yet in silence about such violation shall be considered abettors, and shall face disciplinary action.

Gender Sensitivity

Kids Club's students shall always display decorous behaviour in terms of thought, word, and deed, toward members of the opposite sex.
